Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Makes a Trojan Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise: A Message for the Class of ‘21

““My boy probably got confused because he thought he was communicating with God when he was really chopping it up with the devil. That’s an easy mistake to make because the DEVIL is the one who makes the most noise. God doesn’t make a big fuss—if anything, he damn near whispers. You either listen or you don’t.” ― Charlamagne Tha God

Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Makes a Trojan Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise: A Message for the Class of ‘21

Physical Health – Maintain your physical health, take time each day to get in exercise. As you get older your metabolism can get slower. Park further away at the store so you can get in extra steps. Being in better shape will save you money and will add years to your life.

Mental Health – Social media is not real life. I repeat, Social Media is not real life. Please understand that everybody’s life in not more “turnt” than yours. They have morning breath just like you. Stop comparing what you have to what others have. Those jewels are fake, that house is a Air BnB, the car doesn’t belong to them that’s why they are taking a pic sitting on the hood, and that wad of money is when they cashed their stimulus. The more you understand that real life has ups and downs, the more mentally healthy you will be.

Spiritual Health – Step foot in a church every now and then. Pray to a higher power. Read spiritual books or passages. Feed your soul so that you can be at peace.

Emotional Health – Surround yourself with people who care about you. Not love, but CARE. Love fades, care sticks around. Love tells you what you want to hear, care tells you what you need to hear. Stay away from people who are always negative, because their attitude will eventually infect you.

Wealthy – Save at least 40% of what you earn. Put money in the bank. Start a Roth IRA (look it up) Protect your credit (It will save you tons of money), Invest in the stock market once you begin your career. By things that APPRECIATE in value, not DEPRECIATE (Homes go up in value, cars go down in value). Make money with your hobby.

Wise – Learn something new everyday. Ask older people questions and then listen. (They have a ton of knowledge). Read. Read books and news articles. Don’t get your information from social media, most of that is FAKE NEWS. Learn from your mistakes. Don’t make the same error twice. Better still, learn from the mistakes of others.

As you go through life, take these lessons and use them to help improve your life.
